Throwing a birthday party for your little one is always a magical experience, but when your princess is turning 4, why not make it extra special? Ellowyn has been asking for a Princess birthday ever since Caroline’s 5th last year so I was more than happy to oblige her with a “4 Ever A Princess” theme! This enchanting celebration is perfect for Disney lovers and will leave your little girl and her guests feeling like royalty. With so many possibilities for details focusing around Disney World, I could not wait to get started on this party.

Why “4 Ever A Princess” is a Perfect Theme
1. Celebrating Milestones with Magic
Turning 4 is a significant milestone! Ellowyn is growing up fast, and what better way to celebrate than with a theme that encapsulates the magic and wonder of all of her favorite Disney princesses? From Rapunzel to Elsa, Disney princesses represent dreams, kindness, and adventure—everything a 4-year-old embodies. I tell my girls all the time they are forever a princess in mine and their daddy’s heart, and I want them to remember that always.

2. Endless Creative Possibilities
A “4 Ever A Princess” theme offers endless creative possibilities. Using classic characters like Minnie and Mickey Mouse, to all the Princesses your birthday girl loves, you can create a magical atmosphere with decorations, activities, and treats that are fit for royalty. The possibilities are as vast as the Disney universe itself. Ellowyn loves Minnie Mouse the most but really wanted to have the princess theme so I took the Fantasyland focus as the party vision board.

3. Memorable Experiences for Guests
Guests of all ages will enjoy a princess-themed party. Little ones can dress up as their favorite Disney characters, participate in princess-themed games, and enjoy delicious themed snacks. It’s a theme that ensures everyone, from kids to parents, has a fantastic time. I recommend preparing a fun craft. An easy one for this theme is a DIY decorate you tiara or shield!

Invitations
Start with royal invitations. Design them to look like scrolls or use images of your child’s favorite princesses. Be sure to include all the important details and a request for guests to come dressed in their best princess (or prince) attire. I went with a DIY approach and created her invitation on Canva and printed on cardstock for all her friends. I pieced together a classic Disney look that encompassed the Small World ride vibes.
Decorations
Transform your home or party venue into a royal palace. Use pastel colors, glitter, and plenty of balloons. Consider a backdrop featuring a Disney castle and carriage for photo opportunities. Don’t forget themed tableware and centerpieces featuring princess figurines or tiaras. I hit the jackpot with finding just about everything in one place! Everything is linked within this post. I did make the Mickey and Minnie props, as well as the castle, balloons, Tinkerbell, and fireworks. I will have a follow up post explaining how simple those can be made for your parties!
Activities
Plan activities that will keep your little princesses entertained. Some ideas include:
- Crown Decorating: Provide plain crowns and plenty of decorations like jewels and glitter for a fun craft.
- Princess Parade: Let the children show off their costumes in a royal parade.
- Story Time: Read a favorite Disney princess story.
- Sing-Along: Have a sing-along session with popular Disney princess songs.
- Bounce House

Treats
No party is complete without delicious treats. A princess-themed cake is a must—consider a castle-shaped cake or one decorated with princess figurines. Other ideas include:
- Cupcakes with Crown or Princess Toppers
- Disney Focused Cake
- Fruit Wands: Skewers of colorful fruits with a star-shaped melon or pineapple at the top.
- Princess Punch: A pink lemonade or juice with glittery sugar rims on the glasses.

Party Favors
Send guests home with a little bit of the magic. There are SO many fun printable options out there for free, but also some beautiful custom ones on Etsy for very cheap! Small bags filled with princess-themed goodies like stickers, bracelets, or mini figurines will be a hit. You could also include a personalized thank-you note from your little princess. I created my label in Canva, printed it and glued it onto our treat boxes!

To my sweet Ellie Belly,
You are 4 years old today, WOW! I can’t believe that 4 shorts years ago, in the height of a crazy pandemic, you came like a whirlwind into our lives and we were forever changed for the better. Your spirit, humor, and endless love are just the tip of the things I love about you. Already 4 years old and telling me and daddy you are going to be a soccer star. I love everything about you and can’t wait to see what a beautiful soul you will grow to be as time goes on. I love you, and you will forever be my princess no matter how time passes.
I love you endlessly,
Mommy.
