The end of summer is approaching and with it our summer harvests. We’ve had a few green and banana peppers still popping up even after harvesting a bunch twice already. Head to TheBohoDiaries.com or the #linkinmyprofile to read all about our garden we grew this summer, how we include our girls in helping, and a fun recipe straight from Morgan’s kitchen! It’s a recipe I’ve had a few people DM me about so make sure you head there to check it out! We still have a good amount of cherry red tomatoes coming in on Caroline’s accidental vines and we’ve been making all the salsa💃🏼.

Now I’m gearing up for changing over and plan to plant my first pumpkins, gourds, and corn! It may be too late but it never hurts to try! Have you ever planted those?

Even so early in the season we've had our first great harvest from our garden. #sponsored We've already picked a bunch of banana peppers, green peppers, green beans, and lots of cherry and yellow pear heirloom tomatoes. Caroline finds it SO fun to help harvest, and teaching her to pick the best ripe ones is just food for my soul. I can see she takes as much joy in it as I do which makes all the work more than worth it. Morgan threw together a delicious tomato summer salad already and plans to pickle the banana peppers. But even after we use what we need right now, we still have some to spare, so we plan to donate our excess to @AmpleHarvest as @BonniePlants has teamed up with them to provide a way we as a nation can come together and help those in need. 🍅 🫑🥬
☝🏼We are not a wasteful family, we strive to compost as much as we can, use little plastic, grow our own food when we can, and we always end up with a lot more home grown food than we know what to do with. We will be donating our extra veggies to Ample Harvest again this year and I hope you join us! I definitely plan on having another little summer party like this one on the first day of summer with my little family. I’ve heard some people refer to this summer as “second chance summer” due to everything being closed last year, and our plans prove to be no exception. Woke up this Monday morning feeling so grateful for everything He has given us. ❤️I’ve been working diligently on creating our backyard oasis so here’s a little peek into our outdoor dining, although it already looks a little different and I’m adding those DIY benches you may have seen me working on in my stories. I can’t wait to host all the dinners our here and just enjoy it with our little fam. Outdoor dinner bring me so much joy!! Last weekend we took the girls to the 🍓 strawberry patch for the first time this year, and Ellowyn’s first time ever, and it was a complete blast! We’ve gone to @gillishillfarm strawberry patch 3 years now and always fill our baskets to the brim! If you’re in the #fayettevillenc area you should definitely check them out before they’re all gone! Where are all my fellow home gardeners 👩🏼‍🌾 at?! After diving deeper the last two years into keeping our own spring and summer gardens, we’ve grown our garden space a little more each time, and this year is no exception! I’m giving our garden tour in my stories later today but first I want to highlight our new vertical planter from @greenstalkgarden because this thing is a beast! If you have the want to grow so much more but don’t necessarily have the space to do a lot, this vertical planter allows you to garden in a whole new modern way. They sent me one to try out, and mine actually has 5 layers of planter space, and so far I’ve only used 3. Just in those three planters we’re growing cauliflower, blue cabbage, green peppers, green beans, bell peppers and more so stay tuned to my stories! The best thing in life aren’t things.

The lessons I’ve learned and taught throughout this motherhood journey have absolutely been the best things in life for me so far. Motherhood looks different for every individual, but I believe as long as there is love, caring, discipline, and guidance that comes from a place of true integrity and kindness, you’re doing a great job.

My mom has given me sooo many different lessons around raising my girls and continues to lead me through motherhood everyday. When I send SOS texts or call because I just don’t know what to do, she is there. Which shows me that the journey of being a mom never ends and I’m totally okay with that. God’s always known I wanted to be a mom, and so far He’s given me two beautiful babies to depart my life wisdom and raise into being kind humans. 💕 As I said before, motherhood looks different from person to person, but at the end of the day we’re all doing the best we can💕👏🏼
